TRAEE, an initiative promoted by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), is organizing the first Grand Collective Management System (GRANSIC) for electrical and electronic waste and batteries in Chile. The organization now includes 12 members following the incorporation of Cencosud, Duracell, Falabella, and Tottus. This collective management system is being established in preparation for the implementation of Chile's Extended Producer Responsibility (REP) law as it applies to electrical and electronic apparatus and battery waste.
