Portugal Submits Right to Repair and PPWR Policy Recommendations to Authorities

Between January and August, a Portuguese environmental organisation submitted 6 policy recommendations addressing Right to Repair and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) to three key government authorities: the Portuguese Environmental Agency (APA), the Directorate-General for Economy (DGE), and the Directorate-General for Commerce (DGC). Additionally, the organisation integrated the Coordinating Committee of 3 working groups under the 2030 National Circular Economy Action Plan (PAEC 2030). These actions reflect efforts to shape public policy around extended producer responsibility principles, repair obligations, and packaging waste management in Portugal.
